EDITORIAL: The statement made by Ken Lewis and his half-assed attempt at an apology is nothing but backpeddling. Misogyny at its’ worst . . . The statements he made on Facebook are clearly misogynist, racist and not fit to come out of anyone’s mouth, much less someone who is supposed to be fighting for justice of The People he just disgustingly insulted.
It’s no wonder Jameis Winston got away with rape in Florida when we have state prosecutors who think women should be sterilized. I would like to see his record for sexual assault cases as well. I believe it’s time for an audit. The Auditor is ready and the State of Florida’s judicial system obviously needs a review!
I say “Fire him”. You can’t teach this old dog any new tricks. He goes from making excuses and trying to justify his sexist/racist remarks to whining about making less money then he used to. FIRE HIM NOW and while you’re at it, take his law license too. Don’t waste taxpayer’s money on this douche bag. Are you kidding me??

The prosecutor whose Mother’s Day Facebook post addressed to “crack hoes” went viral last week has been temporarily reassigned and will attend sensitivity training, the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
Ken Lewis has been reassigned from major crimes to general felonies pending an internal probe which will seek to determine “if his political views have bled over” into his work, according to the office’s executive director, Richard Wallsh.
The probe will be conducted by Linda Drane Burdick, State Attorney Jeff Ashton’s chief assistant, who will review Lewis’ cases, Wallsh said. Lewis will undergo sensitivity training, though details of that haven’t been finalized, Wallsh said.
The current controversy centers on a series of Facebook posts, including one Lewis addressed to “all the crack hoes out there.”
“It’ never too late to turn it around, tie your tubes, clean up your life and make difference to someone out there that deserves a better mother,” he wrote in the May 11 post.

In another, he called U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor “[r]eason enough why no country should ever engage in the practice of Affirmative Action again.”
In a press conference, Lewis said he was guilty of a “poor choice of words” when he used the phrase “crack hoes,” and offered an apology to Sotomayor and “to those I unintentionally offended.”
He went on to criticize the media and say he’d been “misinterpreted by some.” Ashton said he found Lewis’ choice of words “offensive and dehumanizing,” but would not reprimand a subordinate for “what is clearly political speech.”
